Terms and Conditions
We accept payment by Bank Transfer, Cheque or via our Online Booking System.
20% deposit is payable at the time of booking.
The remaining payment is required six weeks prior to your stay. If your booking is placed within six weeks of your stay, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Bookings made on our online booking stem are provisional until confirmed via email by The Sea Shack.
If you’re still making a decision, we can hold a provisional booking for up to five days.
Cancelling or amending your reservation
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by phone and confirmed in writing. If we are able to re-let your booking we will refund you the final letting price (which may be less than you paid) less the deposit. If we are unable to re-let the cottage, there will be no refund under any circumstances. The deposit is always non-refundable.
If you need to change the date of your stay, we will be as flexible as possible.
We advise that you take out holiday cancellation protection, details about Booking Protect are available on the booking form.
In circumstances outside of our control for example fire, weather we may be forced to offer you an alternative property or cancel completely.
Once your payment has been received in cleared funds, we will send you a booking confirmation and ask that you let us know within 5 days if any of the details are not correct.
Check In and Departure
Check in is from 4pm. We request that guests depart by 10am on your day of departure.
If you require an earlier check-in time please ask and we shall endeavour to make a special arrangement.
Breakages and Damage
At the earliest opportunity we ask that you notify us of any breakages or damage, and if anything in the cottage is not functioning as you would expect. Minor accidental damage such as broken crockery will not be charged for, however larger items and damage in general to your accommodation will be charged. If you lose a key we will replace it upon you paying for the cutting of a new one.
Candles with naked flames are forbidden in The Sea Shack due to fire risk.
The Sea Shack must be left as you found it – in a clean and tidy state. If you require cleaning during your stay, then our cleaning team can be employed at an additional cost.
Consideration for others
Guests are requested to respect the peace and safety of everyone on and off site. Noise between the hours of 10pm and 9am must be kept to a minimum to be considerate of others.
Please no smoking in The Sea Shack.
The owners reserve the right to enter The Sea Shack for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Well-behaved house-trained guest dogs are welcome in The Sea Shack, please read our separate Dog Policy below and always inform us if you are bringing a dog. There is an additional cost of £25 per dog per stay. Cats and other pets are not allowed.
The use of The Sea Shack and any other amenity that is provided by the Owners is entirely at the visitor’s risk and no responsibility can be taken for any loss, damage or injury to persons who make use of them, nor to any property of visitors. All adult visitors shall be jointly responsible for the safety of any children staying at the property and to maintain adequate supervision of them at all times. All cars and other vehicles are parked entirely at the visitor’s risk. The Owners take no responsibility for any loss or damage to any car, other vehicle and their contents.
In the event of property being left at The Sea Shack best efforts will be made to locate the items and arrange return at the guest’s expense.
Every effort has been made to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. However if you have any problem or cause for complaint please raise this with the Owner during your stay, so that they can try to resolve the matter for you, where reasonable and time allows.

THE SEA SHACK DOG POLICY
We are happy for you to bring your dog to accompany you whilst staying in The Sea Shack, however it is under the strict understanding that you adhere to the following conditions relating to the acceptance of dogs in our property.
There is a £25 charge/dog per stay. Maximum number of dogs allowed is 2.
Your dog booking is accepted on the basis of you agreeing to the following conditions:
- Dogs are not permitted on the sofas in the lounge.
- Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms of the chalet. All bedroom doors must be kept firmly closed to prevent access by dogs.
- Dogs are not permitted to be left in the chalet or grounds unattended unless it is crated.
- The interior and grounds of the property must be left in a clean, undamaged condition. Any soiling occurring in the grounds must be removed immediately.
- Dogs must be clean before entry to the chalet.
- Your dog must not be permitted to cause any kind of nuisance to the neighbouring properties.
- Your dog must be at least one-year-old at the time of your holiday. Dogs must be fully house-trained and well-behaved.
- On departure, pet hairs should be removed by using the vacuum available in the chalet, to ensure the property is in the clean condition it was at the start of the rental period.
We recommend that you bring plenty of your dog’s bedding and towels with you, dog food, treats and toys.
The beach in Aberdovey is dog friendly. However from 1st April to 30th October it is requested you stay to the right hand side of the main beach, which is signposted.
